Sunlight streams through tall, dense trees in a strong forest, illuminating green undergrowth and creating a warm, golden glow among the trunks and foliage.

When Strong Turns to Weak

I find an interesting pondering Looking throughout the years The strongest and meekest of Christian Can rise with devastating austere. Admired and gifted from Heaven With destiny and favor and more Can be strong in the eyes of humans Yet…

A serene mountain lake reflects the surrounding mountains, forests, and a partly cloudy sky, creating a mirror-like effect on the calm water. Sunlight filters through clouds, casting a soft glow and rhythm across the peaceful landscape.

The Rhythm…

There is a rhythm of Christ with me Yet, a different rhythm for you that’s unique At times our steps will be the same But other times I might be behind a refrain. The chords in my life may sound…

A wooden bridge with railings leads into thick white fog, obscuring the view beyond the end of the bridge and creating a mysterious, atmospheric scene.

Unseen

There is a hidden, subtle surge When something in Christ is disturbed At times you seem but confused For much of the time we refuse. A heart at times fails to heed A warning Christ sends as He sees For…

A wooden bench faces a calm lake surrounded by trees, with morning mist rising from the water and a clear blue sky above. Branches frame the scene from above, and a narrow dock extends into the lake.

When…

When human hearts are slow to go When need revealed is never sown When worldly things capture time When life becomes familiar rhymes. When death becomes a comfort zone When life abundant is never known When hearts are led by…

A tall white lighthouse glows with light at dusk, standing near a small building under a clear, star-filled sky—Christ Never Looked grander against the peaceful night backdrop.

Poetry and Ponderings by Shelly

If Christ Never Looked..

What if Christ never looked Upon the darkest need If He just decided It wasn’t His to see. Would little girls in chains Ever be set free Would addicts shooting up Hear of the “High-est” King? What if He turned…

A white sheep stands on a grassy hill with a blue sky and fluffy white clouds in the background. The sheep faces forward, appearing calm and peaceful.

To Be Small

I think I’ll choose to stay small When everyone seems to like tall I’m settled with being unseen For Christ has a good view of me. I watch a world of prestige Climbing the ladders of esteem Wanting to be…

Sunrise over a mountain range with mist and low clouds filling the valleys, casting a golden glow that mingles with the quiet Color of Sadness, creating a serene, ethereal atmosphere across the landscape.

Poetry and Ponderings by Shelly

The Color of Sadness

I often see sadness in the eyes of a person. There is a visible sign of sorrow. Maybe it is only recognizable to those who know intimately …sorrow or sadness. If you have never been in a well of sorrow,…

Rocky shoreline with scattered green plants, calm tidal pools reflecting a pastel pink and blue sunrise sky—evoking scenes from religious art where Christ might be walking—distant trees on the left, and calm ocean water stretching to the horizon.

Christ Walking…

Can I ask what stirs thy heart And causes passion to rise Can I ask you to be honest Do you see with Father’s eyes? For apathy and complacency Has rested in the Church The Church who once was vibrant…

A scenic view of a secluded beach with white sand, turquoise waves, and steep grassy mountains rising above the shoreline under soft sunlight and mist—evoking a serene sense of peace reminiscent of a quiet church sanctuary.

Poetry and Ponderings by Shelly

If Christ were like the Church…

Lord..forgive me for the delay. It is time and today…I have chosen whom I will serve. Bring yourself glory and reveal that which your Holy Spirit revealed to me on my own personal island of Patmos. For I have seen…

A person wearing a hat and light t-shirt rests their head on the steering wheel inside a green vintage vehicle, with sunlight filtering through the windows—sorry, the description appears to be incomplete.

Poetry and Ponderings by Shelly

In the Breaking…

It was in the breaking of the bread That the disciples saw The Christ Until that moment came A veil covered their eyes. It was in the sorrowed heart Of Hannah as she prayed Unable to utter words An answer…

Shelly Wilson is a poet, psalmist, and messenger passionate about releasing a word in season to weary hearts.  Shelly is a champion for those who have lost their voice and she mentors many to become rooted in Christ in a way that raises them as modern day warriors. She is honored to birth out others with Christ-size dreams and is particularly fond of spotting the gifts in women and girls.  Her favorite thing to teach is how to hear God’s voice and cultivate awareness of His presence in every day life.  She loves to speak on how the scriptures are living and breathing by giving examples through creation testifying, Holy Spirit communion, or His language through prophetic eyes. She will often nudge others to take hold of child-like faith and wonder again.
