A pair of hands held open and facing upward, illuminated by dramatic red and green lighting against a dark background, as if offering too much hope to the darkness.

Poetry and Ponderings by Shelly

My “Too Much”

When I ponder all your ways I WORSHIP you and say With “little girl-like” ways You really are “My Too Much.” From songs to poetry To prophetic worshiping Where your heart stirs inside of me Yes…you’re “My Too Much.” When…

The Gift

Psalm 84:5-7 Blessed is the man whose strength is in you, Whose heart is set on pilgrimage (mission). As they pass thru (cross over) the valley of Baca (weeping), They make it a spring (fountain or well). The RAIN also…

Close-up view of gentle ocean waves with the sun low on the horizon, casting a soft, hazy light over distant mountains—a tranquil scene where even The Resistance would pause to appreciate the serene atmosphere.

Poetry and Ponderings by Shelly

The Resistance

A resistance can not always be seen, yet felt The subtle undercurrent causes discernment to swell The little innuendo’s that sadden His face Grieve His Spirit and taint His Name. There’s Power, oh yes, in His very Word For from…

Border landscape or boundary

Poetry and Ponderings by Shelly

The Border

There comes a time when we are at “a border”..the border of something new on the horizon with Christ. The border of that which He has been preparing us for all our lives! There are always new borders..new lands..new battles……

Messenger birds or figures

Poetry and Ponderings by Shelly

Messengers

Many do go Yet few are sent The Word of the Lord Not sent with them Messengers embraced With fleshly intent Jezebels flock Mere prophets of men Intellect strong And words that will grab Trained in our schools Professionally wrapped…

Desert mirage shimmering on horizon

Poetry and Ponderings by Shelly

The Mirage

I was doing the mundane housework when I heard the Lord say “Mirage.” Not really a word I come across often. Since I did not feel it was a personal word of any type I had to sit with it…

I Hope..

Let this remain my outcry . Let this remain our legacy in His Church. Let this remain…for it’s His goodness that draws people unto Him…and they will know Him by that which we bear image of…let us bear the authentic…

Wilted rose with blight damage

Poetry and Ponderings by Shelly

The Blighted Rose

A blighted rose; a tender shoot Young when planted; Shallow roots. Quickly comes disease and plague Wilting precious buds away. Shriveling soon some white remains Petals now are dipped with stains Kept from growth, stunted, sore Death is sure, the…

Church building representing faith and truth

Poetry and Ponderings by Shelly

When the Truth Lies…

I was visiting with a friend when she accidentally said  “when the truth lies.” She corrected herself but we both knew the Lord had just spoken. As I began to ponder this and pray I was reminded of the times…

Shelly Wilson is a poet, psalmist, and messenger passionate about releasing a word in season to weary hearts.  Shelly is a champion for those who have lost their voice and she mentors many to become rooted in Christ in a way that raises them as modern day warriors. She is honored to birth out others with Christ-size dreams and is particularly fond of spotting the gifts in women and girls.  Her favorite thing to teach is how to hear God’s voice and cultivate awareness of His presence in every day life.  She loves to speak on how the scriptures are living and breathing by giving examples through creation testifying, Holy Spirit communion, or His language through prophetic eyes. She will often nudge others to take hold of child-like faith and wonder again.
