Five vultures perch on the branches of a leafless tree against a clear sky, creating a stark and dramatic scene.

Scavengers

Be cautious my friends of what and whom you allow into your life, homes, or ministries. Not everything, nor everyone, is as they seem. We must now more than ever be very wise. There is a very real spiritual world…

Smooth gray pebbles cover the foreground of a beach, evoking a sense of restoration, with the calm blue sea and a slightly cloudy sky in the background. The image focuses on the stones, while the horizon and water appear softly blurred.

Poetry and Ponderings by Shelly

The Time of Restoration

There comes a time of restoration When the ancient ways will be again When prophets arise in a moment From a wilderness designed by God’s hand. No eloquence or worldly esteem , no.. They’ll be the smallest of the clan…

A Pondering of Preparation

For several days I had felt the Lord impress upon me to take communion during our time together. Usually in this I am reading the passage of the breaking of bread, etc. Yet, today something just arose in me. We…

Close-up of burning firewood with bright orange and yellow flames and glowing embers, creating a warm and intense atmosphere reminiscent of poisoned arrows flying through the night.

Poetry and Ponderings by Shelly

The Poisoned Arrows

The Poisoned Arrow Some arrows from Satan are meant just to graze Or even to fly by to cause fear to raise But deadly are others he sets in his sights Laced with a poison to slowly take life. The…

Close-up of vibrant green, blue, and gold Little Peacock feathers, showing detailed eye patterns and fine, delicate strands.

Poetry and Ponderings by Shelly

The Little Peacock

There once was a beautiful peacock Whose feathers were frayed and torn Her tail it drug behind her Swollen from rocks and thorns. Her colors had dulled and now dingy Covered in soot and debris And missing were many her…

He walks along a winding road that cuts through rolling hills covered in bright red foliage under a partly cloudy sky, creating a surreal and vivid landscape.

Poetry and Ponderings by Shelly

When He Walks..

If you close your eyes to see The WORD a beautiful seed We quickly understand the “tug” When Christ decides to stand up. For at times He starts a slow step Then suddenly there’s a pull to the left Yet…

A small cabin with glowing lights sits in a snowy clearing surrounded by tall, snow-covered pine trees under a starry night sky, where The Little Teapot gently steams on the windowsill, adding warmth to the winter scene.

Poetry and Ponderings by Shelly

The Little Teapot

There once was a little bitty teapot Whose spout was too small to pour The bigger teapots laughed at her smallness And overlooked her for adventurous chores. She nestled herself in the cupboard The darkness hiding her little tears Stains…

Sunlight streams through tall trees, casting long rays and shadows on frosty grass and a winding dirt path beside a black metal fence, creating a vision of serenity in this tranquil forest setting.

Poetry and Ponderings by Shelly

Remember the Vision..

Remember the vision I spoke to your heart The seed deeply planted watered by God. Struggles and voices came to derail That which was sent by Heaven’s mail. Much is, yes, good…yet much just to-dos Now just a burden …where…

A crystal chandelier with candle-shaped bulbs hangs outdoors, sparkling in the sunlight. In the blurred background of greenery, two indistinct figures stand on a grassy area—one could be A Girl Just Like Me.

A Girl Just Like Me

A bit under the weather I had been taking it easy when the Lord decided to begin writing. I will post other poems I received this am but this one delighted me so…I had to post it first:) As I…

Large blue and white icebergs float in calm water, surrounded by smaller ice pieces. Dark mountains and a cloudy sky create a dramatic, cold landscape where spirit seems to linger above the frozen flesh of the earth.

Poetry and Ponderings by Shelly

Flesh vs. Spirit

I wonder if it might be surprising when Christ reveals to us what was done in flesh versus “by My Spirit.” I am afraid the flesh has become so normal that we would not notice the Spirit missing. Much of…

Shelly Wilson is a poet, psalmist, and messenger passionate about releasing a word in season to weary hearts.  Shelly is a champion for those who have lost their voice and she mentors many to become rooted in Christ in a way that raises them as modern day warriors. She is honored to birth out others with Christ-size dreams and is particularly fond of spotting the gifts in women and girls.  Her favorite thing to teach is how to hear God’s voice and cultivate awareness of His presence in every day life.  She loves to speak on how the scriptures are living and breathing by giving examples through creation testifying, Holy Spirit communion, or His language through prophetic eyes. She will often nudge others to take hold of child-like faith and wonder again.
