Poetry and Ponderings by Shelly

My God

Our Creator knows exactly how to speak to us. How to get a grin from us. How to stir a deep delight in us. I have learned each time He wins me over…He is delighted Himself. He delights in us…

Morning dew on plant or grass

Poetry and Ponderings by Shelly

Like the Dew

Your Word is like the Dew That lifts a wilted soul Refreshes as the sun When weariness grabs hold. Full of tender drops That wets in droughts and toil Bread of life indeed Cleansing inner soil. Thy Word it carries…

The Weight of Words

There is power in our words Unseen cause and effect unheard Life to the flesh or death disturbed There is weight to our words. There is power in our words Building blocks of encouragement Or crushing of the Spirit and…

Smooth pebbles scattered across a sandy beach, with soft sunlight casting gentle shadows and highlighting the textures of the sand and stones—a calm, serene scene touched by the quiet presence of a Thorn of Memory.

Poetry and Ponderings by Shelly

The Thorn of Memory

I wonder could the “thorn” in the flesh be a memory? A place of deepest grief or personal Calvary. That thing that is gone yet faintly lives in minds Where the heart is sometimes consumed by its thought from time…

Delicate flower showing fragility

Poetry and Ponderings by Shelly

Fragile as a Flower

I Want to Be…. Fragile as a flower Yet, fierce as lion’s roar Gentle with hearts of hurting Yet, causing Satan’s mourn. Strong into the battle Weak before His throne Zealously pursing Yet, grace to stop for groans. Confident of…

Paper dolls representing fragility or connection

Poetry and Ponderings by Shelly

Paper Dolls

There is such vibrance in the body of Christ. Yet, rarely do we see His intended operation. The uniqueness of Christ in each of us is so desperate to pour out in our territories….our fields of ministry. Yet, we tend…

Romantic engagement or wedding imagery for betrothal poem

Poetry and Ponderings by Shelly

To Whom I’m Betrothed

It was never meant that any should take His place. For He must be first…in all things and in all ways. Every relationship must rest under His headship first…every desire must be 2nd to His…every longing must be weaker than…

Healing or cauterization imagery for wound-searing metaphor

Poetry and Ponderings by Shelly

Sear the Wound

Satan is a master at digging into an old wound. For he knows exactly what your history holds. Where each painful memory resides and he does all he can to bring it to mind. When a wound heals it doesn’t…

Inspiring scene representing spiritual commissioning and calling

Poetry and Ponderings by Shelly

The Commissioning

There’s secret surprises hidden inside Placed by our Father for appointed times For in deepest sorrow and the breaking of heart He takes His key a treasure unlocks. You may not know but inside of you Are giftings and callings…

Ancient ruins symbolizing rebuilding and restoration

Poetry and Ponderings by Shelly

Rebuild the Ruins

There is a grieving of the Lord’s heart I believe for our lack of faith and lack of knowledge. His word has been so twisted over the centuries by men. We go from an extreme of counterfeit spirit manifestations to…

Shelly Wilson is a poet, psalmist, and messenger passionate about releasing a word in season to weary hearts.  Shelly is a champion for those who have lost their voice and she mentors many to become rooted in Christ in a way that raises them as modern day warriors. She is honored to birth out others with Christ-size dreams and is particularly fond of spotting the gifts in women and girls.  Her favorite thing to teach is how to hear God’s voice and cultivate awareness of His presence in every day life.  She loves to speak on how the scriptures are living and breathing by giving examples through creation testifying, Holy Spirit communion, or His language through prophetic eyes. She will often nudge others to take hold of child-like faith and wonder again.
