It seems writing has been non-stop lately. A spark, a thought, a sorrow..and then He speaks. Sometimes we miss His intimacy with us. For me writing is a form of intimacy with my Jesus. Sometimes I am writing in response to Him and other times He seems to be writing in response to some of my heart cries. Sometimes His sweetness simply comes out of nowhere as He prepares a Word for another in need. Either way…each burns in my heart until I can get it on paper..or blog:)
How many of you are struggling to merely “endure?” A situation? A heartbreak? A Trial? He has been speaking to me lately about many things..the death of things that bring about the “new.” Sometimes it’s very painful. The purpose of pain and the beauty that can be birthed in the valley. Now the lesson of endurance that must take place. Not just for ourselves..but for the ones He will be soon sending to us to comfort and encourage.
Little in my life has remained hidden as He pulls out a lifetime of insecurities, rejection, joys, sorrows…each instance to speak life to someone He has sent. For I have seen Him turn countless moments from my life from pain to joy, sorrow to dancing, all for the sake of others. For He loves them and us so much and will go to great measures to reach us all.
So for those reading who think you can not go one step further..from my closet to yours..Endure..
Endure..
(October 2014, Shelly Wilson)
In thy prison with no bars
Where walls are built by human scars
And wresting with the mind takes place
For sanity, logic, and rationale ways.
Be cautious not to breathe thy air
Sent from hopelessness despair
For Father breathes a gentle breath
Upon thy face in darkness rest.
Keep on thy praise and make it loud
For heaven rejoices with you proud
Waiting out the time allowed
In which you are no longer bound.
For in that time the door unlocked
Will usher in thy royal smock
And cover thee with robes from Him
For passing tests and trials sent.
“Endure “He says “you did so well ”
Make no mistake your sorrow felt
For as your patience lay in wait
Thy crooked road I did make straight.
So it is time to make thy stand
Before thy Kings and likes of man
To go proclaim the captives free
Who in their prisons alone do weep.
Remember your purpose is for more than you..it’s for the multitudes. All of your roads, mountains, and valleys..will help another reach the living water. Do not give up..
Love Much,
Shelly
