A vast wheat field under a cloudy sky with a wide swath of flattened wheat in the foreground and a line of trees on the horizon, as if nature chose this moment to Open The Door to hidden wonders.

Poetry and Ponderings by Shelly

Open The Door

Open the door dare not leave it shut For power awaits, do answer Thy touch. Strength it has left many a limbs Workings of flesh and strivings of men. Open the door to that I desire The Giver of gifts…

Tend Thy Sheep

I was washing dishes when I heard the first line of this poem begin. Honestly, I wasn’t contemplating anything or pondering with the Lord at this time. I find He is able to interrupt our daily lives in the mundane…

Waves crash on a teal-green ocean under a dramatic sky, as if asking, "Have We Drank" in the golden-orange light of sunset. Sunbeams stream through clouds, illuminating the water with hope and mystery.

Poetry and Ponderings by Shelly

Have We Drank?

Have We Drank? Have we Drank from His cup truly Have we tasted His blood unto death Have we given Him all our possessions And counted them as loss instead. Have we wept over the broken Do we have His…

Shoes

Be careful who’s shoes you do use For where they’ve walked you’ll walk too Mire and muck will cause thee stuck Sin that seeps and darkness tucked. Shoes may need to stay behind Press on new, no clinging vines Cut…

A lone, leafless tree stands on a frosty field as the mist drifts and Blow O Wind whispers through dense fog and soft, muted light, creating a calm and mysterious atmosphere.

Poetry and Ponderings by Shelly

Blow O Wind..

Blow O Wind.. Blow O wind strong as you must But in my Father I do trust My strength is growing with the rain See, my roots go deep in strain. Come you may so cold and wet But warm…

Close-up of vibrant green clover leaves covered with fresh water droplets, each one a testament to resilience. The densely overlapping leaves create a lush, textured background that celebrates nature’s quiet toughness.

Poetry and Ponderings by Shelly

Tears Make Us Tough…

Laughter is good But so are tears Do not cover thy pain and thy fears. CHRIST is the rock who sets thee firm Give ALL thy valleys and struggles.. not SOME. Give Him all that pierces and shakes Pour out…

Sunlight filters through tall trees in a dense forest, casting long shadows on vibrant green moss. Amid the calm, Break the Silence and immerse yourself in the rich greenery and tranquil interplay of light and shade.

Poetry and Ponderings by Shelly

Break the Silence…

This came out of no where yesterday. I have pondered this word “silence” many times over the past years. It seems Christ is not finished speaking to it. Silence is why our children can no longer pray in schools..silence is…

A field of yellow wildflowers in soft focus stretches into the distance, with a single tree standing on a hilltop in the hazy background under a pale sky.

“Some”

There are many things Christ died to give us…much of the blessings and gifts He desires us to ask for. Paul says we should earnestly seek the greater gifts. Yet, I find many seem very comfortable and satisfied with their…

Waves with white foam crash against smooth dark rocks on a shoreline under cloudy skies, as if nature is tinkering with sin—contrasting the restless sea and the unwavering stones.

Poetry and Ponderings by Shelly

Tinkering with Sin

There is a point where Christ indeed may turn us over to our sin. He is such a merciful God, yet He sees to the heart and whether we truly desire freedom from sin. Many times there is more thought…

A close-up view of smooth, multicolored pebbles on a beach reflects the beauty of His Mercies, with ocean waves and blurred blue water in the background.

Poetry and Ponderings by Shelly

His Mercies..

Despite my many failures to love as He loves, obey as I should, and to walk in the faith I desire…He shows mercy. Mercy I do not deserve, yet He freely gives. What might happen should we become a people…

Shelly Wilson is a poet, psalmist, and messenger passionate about releasing a word in season to weary hearts.  Shelly is a champion for those who have lost their voice and she mentors many to become rooted in Christ in a way that raises them as modern day warriors. She is honored to birth out others with Christ-size dreams and is particularly fond of spotting the gifts in women and girls.  Her favorite thing to teach is how to hear God’s voice and cultivate awareness of His presence in every day life.  She loves to speak on how the scriptures are living and breathing by giving examples through creation testifying, Holy Spirit communion, or His language through prophetic eyes. She will often nudge others to take hold of child-like faith and wonder again.
