A person sits on a rocky cliff overlooking a vast sea of clouds at sunset, with soft light illuminating the sky and landscape.

Poetry and Ponderings by Shelly

Settle..

For all, including myself, there are times of anxiousness. Knowing the next assignment and journey could be daunting and trying, I sit and talk to my Father. Quietly I whispered, “Just let me settle into your breath.” I guess that…

A close-up of a chain-link fence at night, with blurred lights in the background creating a soft, out-of-focus effect that hints at unseen barriers beyond the metal links.

Poetry and Ponderings by Shelly

Unseen Barriers

Unseen barriers hear them clang Crash and close loudly bang As inside a prison cell Men and women held in jail Christ is calling out to thee Chains are of the enemy Locked you there I did not speak Bound…

A glowing streetlamp with two lights shines in the dark night, illuminating falling snowflakes. A red bow decorates the pole, and a faint outline of a building is visible in the background.

Flip a Coin

Flip a coin and you will see Deception of spirit Kundalini And flip again to the other side Where spirits loose legal minds. Magic is now good and fair Satan laughs this little snare Drawn we are to mystic mares…

A serene mountain landscape with snow-capped peaks and clouds, reflected on the calm surface of a lake under a blue sky—a scene that whispers, "I See You Lord," in every tranquil detail.

Poetry and Ponderings by Shelly

The Former Things…

I’m restoring all the former things The ones who “speak”..the ones who “see” Those with lost identity I’m calling forth for these to sing. Ancient paths will soon be clear Calling all My prophet seers. Oh, they still exist today…

A dense bamboo forest with tall, slender bamboo stalks reaching up toward a bright canopy of green leaves. Sunlight filters through the foliage, as if nature itself held hostage in this serene and peaceful atmosphere.

Poetry and Ponderings by Shelly

Held Hostage

For a couple days now I continue to hear the words “Held Hostage.” Finally the Lord sent His message to my heart. I can only offer it knowing He is speaking to a soul somewhere. I do know this..if God…

Foggy forest scene with tall pine trees silhouetted against a bright sun partially obscured by mist, creating a dramatic and mysterious atmosphere. Some bare branches in the foreground evoke a quiet reverence—I See You Lord in nature's embrace.

Poetry and Ponderings by Shelly

I See You Lord..

Many are broken…and Christ has His eye on them each. None are without His attention. Sometimes it’s hard to see where He is taking us..and other times His footsteps begin to be more clear..I pray that I never take lightly…

Mist rises from a calm lake with a cluster of trees on the shore, set against a backdrop of rugged, snow-tipped mountains under a partly cloudy sky at dawn or dusk.

Poetry and Ponderings by Shelly

Discernment

Discernment it comes in many a form From restlessness to sorrow to heart cries that warn Often mistaken for something it’s not A deep inner shaking ..a revelation from God. Be careful not to ignore the pain and the scorn…

A woman in a white dress stands on a grassy field, holding a bouquet, facing away from the camera toward a stone wall and trees. The sepia-toned, vintage, blurred effect evokes an ethereal scene fit for WOMEN'S FRONTLINE MAGAZINE.

Are You The Bride of Christ?

This morning my son, Brady, and I were driving to school. I heard the Lord begin a poem and asked Brady to grab my phone and start typing…little does he know his significance in these moments. Faithfully, he went to…

A gravel road runs alongside a calm river, where autumn-colored trees cover the hills and their reflection dances in the water under a partly cloudy sky—a serene scene where nations await new journeys.

Poetry and Ponderings by Shelly

Nations Await

The road to forgiveness Is paved with stones Some smooth rocks Yet some rip robes. Behind in a glance Comes running the past Pain that has seared And branded as glass. One must endure Such memories of heart Floods they…

Poetry and Ponderings by Shelly

My Safe Abode..

There is never a time of weariness from His sweetness.  Every song, every poem..each time is as if it’s the first time. Each time is a new way of seeing Him. His face becomes more visible..His nature more sweet..His presence…

Shelly Wilson is a poet, psalmist, and messenger passionate about releasing a word in season to weary hearts.  Shelly is a champion for those who have lost their voice and she mentors many to become rooted in Christ in a way that raises them as modern day warriors. She is honored to birth out others with Christ-size dreams and is particularly fond of spotting the gifts in women and girls.  Her favorite thing to teach is how to hear God’s voice and cultivate awareness of His presence in every day life.  She loves to speak on how the scriptures are living and breathing by giving examples through creation testifying, Holy Spirit communion, or His language through prophetic eyes. She will often nudge others to take hold of child-like faith and wonder again.
