One of my most joyful jobs is to walk alongside others as their calling unfolds. It can take time to see exactly what gifts have been placed in hearts, and even longer to see how He intends on using them. We often place His ways in a box of our own experiences. This can halt the forward movement of one’s calling and destiny. God is a very creative artisan. The ways in which He uses one’s gifts are innumerable.
The job of us as leaders in any one of the grace roles mentioned in Ephesians 4:11-12 is to “send out.” In other words, one of my jobs is to prepare others for “take off.”
I am not to be a “keeper” of others’ gifts.
Sometimes churches will only support your gift when used in their own congregations. However, if you move outside the walls, you find little to no support. Sad to Christ because we were always meant to go into all the world. We are the church.
Our (meaning me) first mission is to send people out and support what Christ does through them.
Cultivating the gifts in others must, at times, allow for practicing of the gift. In this, we put gifts to work as soon as we begin to see one rise. Whether it’s a prophetic art gifting, poetic monologue or a spontaneous worship melody…we make room for it. We have women who create beautiful crafts that go out to hearts in need.
One of the pitfalls of the American church is that we have little room for the Holy Spirit to work anymore. We’ve left the “super” behind for the “natural.”
The work of God is absolutely supernatural.
The only way to expand the Kingdom and multiply disciples is to send out disciples equipped to do so. Jesus will do it uniquely with each heart.
I’ve had many tell me how to operate based on their own comfort and knowledge of Jesus. Trust me; your effectiveness comes from the anointing uniquely placed within you. You were never meant to operate differently. You were meant to operate uniquely YOU.
If you’re in a room who doesn’t understand your gifting or simply wants to control the Holy Spirit’s work in you, I’m the girl that’s gonna tell you that you are in the wrong room.
Too many sit in rooms for years and die. This was never God’s plan for you. Ever. It’s hindering the Kingdom of God.
Choose today whom you’ll serve. God or man.
You were meant to enlarge the Kingdom and to build up the body of Christ.
Don’t you think it’s time to take your place in your very own works of ministry? It is what you were born to do.
