When the Rain comes
The dryness is gone
Callous old souls
Are revived with new songs.
When the rain comes
The Word comes alive
No longer text
Just read without life.
When the rain comes
Love has new feet
Quick are the sandals
To those deep in grief.
When the rain comes
Hearts weep in prayer
Over the lost
And those in despair.
When the rain comes
Petals do form
Seeds become blooms
Removed is sun’s scorn.
When the rain comes
Seed multiplies
Roots are set deep
For long, stormy nights.
When the rain comes
Refreshed is the heart
Weeds are pulled up
No more is root rot.
When the rain comes
Love becomes new
Glory to glory
His Spirit consumes .
