There is quite a difficult thing to this heart of mine when following Christ.
It’s the moment the assignment ends and you know you’re to move onward.
Obedience is a must but let’s be honest. Sadness can come.
New seasons can be exciting but there is a deep cost to the heart.
I was texting a friend about it today and she referenced Paul. He didn’t have Facebook or Face Time-only the possibility that God might “permit” his return to those he longed to see again.
Whew. That’s tough.
But what if Paul was more interested in staying with friends and familiar faces? What if he stayed when God said to, “Go?” What if he just decided to pitch his tent and be comfortable?
Where would we be today?
At some point, our loyalty will be put in check. Will you go with Christ when He calls or is that circle of friends more important to your heart?
When your current assignment ends, will you move to the next one?
It could be a new location like a new city, a new church, a new job, or a new career? Either way, are you following Jesus? Or do you expect Him to follow you?
Don’t miss out on all God has planned for you. Remember, it’s more than you could ever think or imagine. Settling for less will always leave you lacking. Not to mention the many hearts in need of what Christ has placed in you.
