There have been times over my years when I’ve been grossly misunderstood.
The way God has called me to reach people is at times very different than others. Some love it and some…not so much. Trust me, it’s easy to discern.
I use to use feather boas to teach Psalm 91:4 and plastic tiaras to share with girls and women their royal inheritance. Many seemed to look down on me for such things and often I heard a few mocking me under their breath or side swipe me with a little comment or two. At times the Lord would open up His realm and show me secrets behind closed doors. Listen, don’t ever think God won’t reveal your heart to others.
Some have been offended at the name of our magazine over the years-Drama Queen Magazine-although Jesus specifically told me to take all drama from Hell and turn it for good for Heaven. So I did. They now get shipped all over the world for King and Kingdom.
I’ve offended mostly many religious people while drawing the lost and the broken.
I guess they felt there were more appropriate ways to “do ministry.” More “refined” ways.
Years later it makes me chuckle.
Why?
Because I follow Jesus and He didn’t mind using things like mud and spit when necessary. So, I’m going with Him.
I’m grateful to be now in my 50’s where I’ve reached the “Ill do whatever it takes” to get people to Jesus rather than “whatever people thanks.” (insert southern drawl)
So, moral of this story is what His mother, Mary, said at the wedding in Cana: “Do whatever Jesus tells you to do.”
