There is a season upon us full of miracles and wonder. Yet, many might miss the moment if we are not paying close attention to the heart of Christ.
If we emerge from the quarantine simply to restart “what was” then we have sorely missed the boat.
Christ was not pleased in the least with the “what was…”
Yes, there was much talk of unity…but little of it was the true unity of Christ Jesus.
One can be unified entirely with works of counterfeit Christianity indeed. Deception only requires a tiny twist from what is the real truth to still be an error.
The shifting sand shook all that could be shaken. Did we hear the heart of Jesus call for a death to pride, man-made doctrines of devils, and platforms for mere personalities?
Return to the simplicity of Christ friends where miracles are never mundane and adventures are normal.
Return to the power of Jesus which descends and clothes one in a wardrobe sewn by supernatural design.
Return to a true heart of worship where Christ is exalted and the Holy Spirit can penetrate the deep places in a man’s heart. There must be worshipping in spirit and truth. One without the other throws things out of balance.
We need no more professional preachers and poachers. Every one born again is to be a proclaimer of the gospel.
We need shepherds. Shepherds who tend lovingly the flock of God knowing full well the consequence of any mishandling of their hearts.
We need the prophets back in the church service to call us to repentance and ignite a fire of sanctification. We need the body of Christ mobilized member by member leaving empty pews as soon as the feeding is over. May each run to their own unique assignments adding thousands to the church daily.
We need leaders to lead. Leaders that walk with those in pain through dark valleys. Leaders similar to the “Good Samaritan.” Leaders that do not “
lord over” but who love deeply. Leaders who fight for the oppressed and understand true biblical justice.
There is a season unfolding where Christ is looking for the men and women with faith to take on all of Hell in the name of Jesus.
Let it not be said of us that we came up from the “pause” with any piety left. I pray it all burned up once and for all.
But let us love in word, and deed, so that our love will show the world that we really are the disciples of Jesus and He really is the Good Shepherd.
