We spent much time discussing the elements of Godly leadership in our Dream Big Group. Unpacking what we’ve seen deeply taint testimonies of leaders gone astray, and how we can avoid such pitfalls.
Fast-forward to our healing room, where we spent much time evicting devils and loving wounded hearts from years of pain. All I can say was the room was full of hugs from huggers. One of the most powerful gifts Christ has given to us to use.
I’ve been pondering what I might like to be known for. It’s quite different now than when I first entered into my life with Jesus.
Quite possibly the first book I read after surrendering my whole life to Christ, The Dream Giver, placed a promise in my Spirit that the dream that was in me would also meet a big need. I likely didn’t understand that at the time, but I did discern that whatever dream Christ saw fit to place in me would be for the benefit of others, not just me.
Truth is, I was still pretty clueless about many things concerning Jesus in those days, but He was patient daily to help me.
I’ve decided here are a few of the things I’d like to be known for:
-integrity in the small and big things
-a safe place for hurting hearts to land
-a crazy faith kind of girl
-a contender in prayer who pulls on Heaven and evicts Hell
-an absolute pain to the devil
-a faithful worker of Heavens fields
-a lavish giver
-kind
-a carrier of His fire
-a deliverer
-a messenger of God’s revelations and heart
I’m sure there are more, but today these are on my mind. In the early days, I’d likely have said things like being a good singer or speaker because I was more focused on the gift than the giver at times. I was (and still am) in process.
Today, I recognize all I carry is His and my deepest heart cry is that I represent Him well in all the joys and sufferings, heartache and sorrow, trials and tribulations.
The latter is more of a focus on His (and mine) character and His likeness. The rest I’ve learned comes to follow as I draw near to Him and for Him. His anointing will work in every gift He gives when we seek Him with our whole hearts.
May you, too, ponder what you would like to be known for in His Kingdom and even to a lost world. What are you known for now? Does it line up with the scripture and heart of Jesus?
If not, ask Him to adjust your life to His. He is a friend closer than a brother, and I promise that this kind of prayer request He will begin to answer immediately.
