-Practical Application of Biblical Truths-
Listen; there is no darkness in Christ. He operates in the light. Preachers of the Truth, I implore you to live worthy of the calling.
I have watched people clamoring for attention and soliciting platforms in rooms that were simply not meant to be for such a thing. Boy, does it grieve the Holy Spirit.
It can be a telling sign of a heart in need of security in Jesus or perhaps one who is lacking discernment. The worst case is that it’s a heart with the intent to use a situation to their advantage.
Let me tell you something, church. It doesn’t please the Lord and it definitely doesn’t go unnoticed by onlookers.
If it’s my room, trust me, I’m seeing everything that’s happening in my room. It’s my job as a watchman to keep watch over my rooms.
At some point, we ought to know Christ orders steps, and we can lay down the need to constantly push doors open, throw our names around, and dishonor rooms that are not our own.
Maturity in Christ honors well others and can be at peace knowing they are never hidden to Christ Jesus. He is the one who calls and ordains mankind. He puts us into position but often we like to make our own way.
Don’t be known as a user.
You could be sitting quietly in the back row of a room and be found by God. Like Joseph, you can be hidden in a prison and still be found by God. You can be left lame and shamed in a place called Lo Debar and one day has the King call for you. You will be found by God.
I’ve been in rooms where the Lord has instructed me to sit back and remain silent. He wanted me to watch another of His kids fly. It was his, or her, moment. The obedient and secure heart with Jesus is fully able to do such a thing. The “using” heart will be exposed of an inner lack.
Until God finds you (please know you’re never lost to Him, ) respect and honor others. Don’t clamor for influence. Stop using others’ influence for your advantage. Don’t operate behind backs to manipulate. It is clearly seen.
God won’t let you move forward with such a deceptive mindset. All your efforts will fall short of your intended goal, and you will have lost something in the process. It can be hard to regain a lost reputation.
Let go of hidden agendas. Manipulative maneuvers. The effects of it will cost you relationships and favor. It also saddens the Lord.
When you’re in a room, make sure you honor it as well as those in it. When you do you’ll be honoring God, Himself.
Proverbs 10:9 He that walketh uprightly walketh surely: but he that perverteth his ways shall be known.
