Hey friends,
I was unable to attend this event, however, I did get a report that I was awarded as Runner-Up (2nd place) for songwriting and was chosen as the Songwriter Award Recipient by Visiting Orphans . This means we will begin discussing this week their theme song…and praying that God would give that which He desires..
Visiting Orphans is a 501(c)3 non-profit mission sending agency established in 2005 as a way to fulfill the biblical mandate given in James 1:27 to “visit orphans and widows in their distress”. We are dedicated to building relationships and working toward long-term change in those we visit and in those we send.
Those We Visit
We partner with organizations, orphanages and ministries around the world that care for children and communities. Every country is a bit different but in each case we send God’s people to come alongside our partner orphanages, communities and ministries to encourage those who are doing the day to day work, to assist in that work and help raise awareness as each partner sees fit, and above all – to love people in Jesus’ name. Our trips are about “being” rather than “doing” although we certainly want to help where we can. We believe that the best place to start is in relationships with one another.
Those We Send
We are dedicated to spiritually equipping those we send by incorporating discipleship and cultural training into pre-trip preparations, investing in leaders who are committed to invest in and disciple their individual team members and by offering thorough follow-up support for those who go including resources for next steps once they return home.
Go Be Love
Visiting Orphans currently partners with ministries in 12 countries including: China, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Ethiopia, Haiti, Honduras, India, Kenya, Ukraine, Uganda and Rwanda. We coordinate trips for churches, schools and other organizations. We also have many trips throughout the year that are open to individual sign ups. Check out our calendar of upcoming trips and sign up for a life-changing trip today!
