There is a point where Christ indeed may turn us over to our sin. He is such a merciful God, yet He sees to the heart and whether we truly desire freedom from sin. Many times there is more thought put into “keeping” the sin… than “dying” to the sin. Yet, this will be the test of every follower of Christ. On many days for each of us there will be the voice of many waters calling to you and I…and we will hear His whisper..”choose today whom you will serve.”
Should we lie in wait
And tinker with thy sin
What we think is small
Will devour us within.
Satan looks for cracks
In weakened armors, yes,
Where compromise has won
In secret sins that test.
Be careful of the dark
And power of lustful woes
Thoughts deprived of “Light”
“Confess” so you’ll be whole.
For do not hinder Christ
From breaking thru thy yoke
Bow on bended knee
Lest we should provoke.
For when He’s in pursuit
If freedom we don’t “need”
He may just turn us over
To sin’s alluring deeds.
When keeping thy pet sins
Thinking they’ll not be found
The net has caught us deep
Oh, slowely we will drowned.
Dare not proclaim His name
Or pray as nothing’s wrong
For deaf are heaven’s ears
Awaiting confessed wrong.
His mercy, yes, it waits
For our repentant cry
Then run to us He will
Quick as the speed of light.
Yet, careful we must be
“Pretending” to want change
For hidden in thy heart
Is nothing from His gaze.
