There’s a Place

There’s a Place

There’s a Place

The name of the Lord is a strong tower;
The righteous run to it and are safe.

Proverbs 18:10

There’s a place I go when turmoil toils

A place of safety and rest

Where Christ does come and calm all fears

A refuge from the wave’s high crest.

A place of peace and serenity’s home

It’s near and dear to my heart

Where all is well when facing Hell

It’s a place together we’ve marked.

The divine Elohim with open embrace

He’s seen me coming from afar

And quick He is to meet me there

With beautiful welcoming arms.

It’s a place where I ponder and often pour

Then He presses against my lips,

“Shhh, my child. I know your need

All you must do is rest.”

It’s where every burden lifts up high

And Christ does set you free

From every injustice stinging your heart

And every wound that bleeds.

It’s where you learn of His tender heart

And that He merely delights being with you

The strongest of towers open to man

The place I can always run to.
