The Tree and it’s Branches

The Tree and it’s Branches

The Tree and it’s Branches

The flock of birds flew in unison

Heading to a garden of grace

They had heard of a tree inviting

Each one to ,”Come and taste.”

The journey was long and desolate

Yet strength was gained in flight

And hope deferred was ignited

As others sent word through the night.

The tree was large with branches

Full enough to hold

Every heart so very tender

Who risked the calling to “Go!”

This tree gave life to it’s creatures

Who came to this now new home

They left behind all that was fruitless

With a smidgen of faith stirring so.

When suddenly their eyes did behold it

Such beauty they could not resist

A kingdom built by branches

That grew from a love so big!

Nestled it did all the sparrows

The ravens and swallows too

Room now there was plenty

For all that heard the news.

The roots were strong and massive

Covered by watered soil

A beating of a heart could be heard

By sacrificial toil.

Hidden in the depths seen

A crimson colored vines

Securing all the branches

For those in need of new life.

18 Then He said, “What is the kingdom of God like? And to what shall I compare it? 19 It is like a mustard seed, which a man took and put in his garden; and it grew and became a large tree, and the birds of the air nested in its branches.”

Luke 13:18-19
