There is a moment with Christ when He enlightens your heart to the grief of your own sin. We likely blanket our praying with a simple prayer of repentance when Christ is desiring you to face them one by one. There is a sickness of soul that overcomes you as He rewinds the tape in your heart of harsh words to a brother or sister and you realize you left it unattended.
At times is the realization of a hardening heart at the sorrows of life and the holding off of those in need for fear of more afflictions. Then you remember Christ and His extended hand knowing full well the same hand would be used to nail Him to a cross.
What seems tiny in our sight is the betrayal of love to Christ at our surrendering to other voices rather than His own and making costly attempts to satisfy our worlds desires rather than our Master’s voice.
The realization of lack can be overwhelming… yet freeing. Every tiny moment comes under His microscopic eye with such gentleness that we may become more like Him….. as He molds us into His image.
The inability to walk in faith, to trust Him when it all goes south, and to know His heart well enough to embrace His mercy given over and over…well, it pierces Him deeply.
We must be a people quickly repenting for such tiny sins….calling them what they are… and facing them courageously, yet with a brokenness that proves genuine sight into our disobedient hearts.
Run quickly to mend wounds, run quickly to His feet and tell Him what you’ve seen in your own heart…walk in the light with Him…He knows already what is present.
Dare not cover it with beautiful words and reasonings… contend with it… “this is me, Lord…” He is ready to forgive at your coming…
Go quickly to your brothers and sisters when your tongue has cut them sharply… or when you have crushed one in spirit; for you may be unaware at how the enemy used it as a road to despair.
Reach deep to pull out the pained souls from Hells grip knowing at some point that very hand may bite as a wounded dog.
Silence at once the attempts of the enemy to ensnare you in man’s plans, albeit good, when Christ has called you onward.
Remove at once the tiny hindrances overlooked by the Saints …for it is what now holds you stagnant towards your destiny….
Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines: for our vines have tender grapes. Song of Solomon 2:15
