The Road to Freedom

There is a road that’s paved with souls

Waiting for thy voice.

So now prepared He has thy way

A map of the Spirits choice.

As soon as comfort settles in

The Lord does say then “go.”

Left you are so much confused

Yet surrendered to Him now low.

This road is full of loss and love

Yet full of many goodbyes

There is a yearning to stay with these

Like Paul whose heart did cry.

But as one gives his life to Christ

His suitcase must stay packed

So when He calls to onward “go”

You’ll move and not look back.

Oh yes the fear and questions come

The enemy sends his voice

Reminding you your possibly wrong

But remember do well the source.

Our hearts will  be in perfect peace

Whose mind is stayed on Thee

And if we dare not go but stay

It may sure cost thy feet.

The road to freedom is personal yes

Unique to each called heart

For what one does should not compare

To others with God marked plots.

So even when it makes no sense

Wait with a readied soul

For freedom comes onto thy road

When Christ calls you to “go.”
