Before you read the title words too quickly, understand that which is behind rebellion is a spirit. Meaning we are dealing with a demonic principality at work.
A rebellious spirit will want what it wants even at the cost of the presence of God.
A rebellious spirit will feed the fleshly desires. Be sure that “rebellion is as witchcraft.”
In other words, it carries bewitching properties that work subtly to put in place a heart desire with an impure motive.
Often there is a partner in crime with a controlling spirit that will work for some time quietly behind the scenes making sure self is exalted.
You may sense it without seeing it.
If you resist coming into agreement with it you will see a manifestation of some spirit trying to force you to do what it wants you to do.
The best way to test the spirits is with a firm, “No.” If anger rises you know there was an impure motive who is very unhappy that you would not submit to its “Yes.”
While the manifestation may not be visible once it realizes you’re on to it, you may find manipulation and behind the scene maneuvers that are put in place to try to draw you back into the “Yes.”
Let your no be no.
The Holy Spirit will not partner with a rebellious spirit but the enemy will certainly counterfeit the move of God.
Heart desires can be very strong and if there is a need unmet in any one of us, we may make maneuvers that meet our personal wants and desires while foregoing the very heart of Christ. In an instant, we can give way to the influence of a rebellious spirit.
Let the Lord check your heart to be sure you are in alignment with His desires rather than your own.
