There is a quiet place with God that I often must go. It’s where I sense His beckoning to come and sit so I might listen to what’s on His heart.
I find busy-ness is a thief and is always attempting to keep me from His presence, so, often God comes in for a dear rescue indeed still jealous for my heart.
The weight of worry becomes seen in light of His glory and He begins to calm every fear and wipe every tear.
Awestruck by His goodness, I find myself amazed that I’m still unable at times to see my own inner needs. Yet, He, is faithful to come and put His finger right on them.
The burdens of the days and the creeping sadness of old stays good and at bay over time yet Christ is not entirely satisfied until He has filled fully that sweet space with His precious love.
He positions Himself right into the emptiness and reboots one’s heart for another day and season.
When emotional ties do bind He begins to unwrap you slowly being sure to give you time to breathe. He knows what has gotten you there and that the processing again of it all will be, well, a bit painful, but necessary.
The storms of life have taken a toll on your body and although you thought you could outrun them, He saw the damage needing a sweet touch from Heaven.
We can’t hide a thing from Him and I’m so glad.
This maker of me
Knows of every hidden woe
That pains in secret ways
The ones that He loves most.
And never can He turn
From hidden stains in fog
For He has always planned
To come and heal them all.
His strength is there for you
Especially when you’re weak
And there is not one Saint
Who doesn’t need a drink.
This well of His is pure
And offers perfect peace
So rest in His dear arms
He’ll tend your every need.
Mar 6:31 – Then Jesus said, “Let’s go off by ourselves to a quiet place and rest awhile….”
