You’ve likely been in the middle of many activities yet fully aware of that simmering, deep pull of pain.
You’re able to carry on full-scale conversations and busy days, but you and Jesus are acutely aware of that which lies below the surface.
Pain has a way of making itself known even when you’re not giving it any attention.
The beauty of Christ is that at some point He whispers for you to come, let Him help with it.
As you walk into His precious presence, you’re shocked at how quickly the tears surge from a day of building pressure.
You find yourself even angry that the pull of pain still has so much power after so long.
The good news is that it seems to be a point of entry for the Savior, and He is able to make Himself known again and again at every eruption of the underground volcano.
Tenderly, He listens once again to what, perhaps, you’ve already said a thousand times. Yet, He listens as if it was the first time.
Nowhere else will you find such a gentle heart and patient listener. One who doesn’t rush your healing, cut off your reality or belittle the burden.
No…He is all in. Every time.
Maybe today you’ve done your best to sidestep that which has been brewing in your heart. Maybe you’ve been trying to outrun that swelling river of tears all day long.
Yet, here we are.
You and Jesus.
The most faithful and best Comforter I’ve ever known to help ease the pull of pain.
