You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the LORD will give you... (2 Chronicles 20:17)
Hidden in the hand of my Father is a heart often in need. His home for me is so fully safe and every care He gladly and tenderly receives.
He sees the struggle of keeping silent in the midst of injustice. He watches when your tears fall at every betrayal. He lovingly whispers His promises until you can whisper them yourself again.
He is kind. He is good. He is faithful.
He reminds me of His just nature and that I can leave every woe in His hand. The times I would like to rise in error when He, Himself, says He will defend me, Himself.
I know how He felt as He walked among those who could not see He had come to heal and help them. I know the ache of heart He felt as those He loved and tried to help one by one betrayed Him, left Him, and slandered His name. The enemy is so deceptive with the heart of men.
In all the glory of God I’ve seen in moments of valley walking, I’ve seen often another layer of His heart open up to me.
He has made me lie down in green pastures so that I might be still and know that He is God. He has taken me up high so that I might see from the eyes of the great Eagle. He has held me tight when my heart has been crushed to pieces and He has kept me low lying when I’m in need of protection.
Then He has made me stronger. A new vessel with every trial with new understanding and new insight into His ways.
While on sick beds He has even rolled out war plans showing me what’s happening in secret and how to thwart the plan of the enemy. In these moments, I’m so thankful to find myself on the side of the King.
He reminds me that no matter what the battle holds to remain humble with a quiet confidence. To reject all pride and arrogance and to carry mercy and grace.
It’s not always easy…but He helps when we need it.
If you find yourself in a conflict, hidden battle, or just a trying time…remember to always rise above it.
He is and will always be the JUST JUDGE.
