I have spent time learning God’s names over the years. I found a great reference source with Tony Evans on his study guide of the names of God after the Lord gave me this poem. I was walking through the house when this name of God came to my heart suddenly. I have met many recently who have been robbed by the enemy in certain areas of their lives. Truly we must remember God sees all and He is just and He alone will fight for us in our trials with the enemy. I was grateful for God’s prompting from the Holy Spirit on this one…it ought to give us great comfort that we have a God of restitution….that it’s not just one of His names..but it’s His very nature.
Today I stand firm in this harsh fight
The enemy’s met his match
For I am tethered to a ship
Whose Captain holds firm it’s mast.
No longer shall I go to and fro
Tossed by wave after wave
For it is enough! O Satan hear now!
Christ’s power is released this day.
I shall walk toward thy Goliath, no fear
For the army of which I belong
Not seen with the eye but known with thy heart
Will destroy the enemy’s throng.
Awoke I did strong after a rest
Not one but many a deaths
Christ’s stone it did roll and now has too mine
So prepare now Satan for recompense.
Oh beware, Hell’s hosts for now it is clear
And now I shall head straight for you
As did the Egyptian run after the lion
No fear of impending doom.
I carry with me the Great Adonai
My Healer and Provider of all
Yet now shall arise Jehovah El Gemuwal
And now comes to recompense it all.

For the destroyer is coming against her, against Babylon, And her mighty men will be captured, Their bows are shattered; For the Lord (Jehovah) is a God (El) of recompense (Gemuwal), He will fully repay. – Jeremiah 51:56
