In prayer this morning the phrase came, “the easy route.” I knew instantly that Christ was speaking of those who will only engage in His work when it’s an easy route.
Convenience seems to be a primary necessity in some hearts. We will work for Christ only when we have time. He has become second-rate in the lives of many. He is last rather than first. What He wants from us will get done after what we want for us gets done.
There is no sacrifice in many today. No willingness to pour out in time or pour out in resources given by God.
We serve as little as possible and on our own timelines. We seem to casually work Him into our calendars. There’s always something else more important, more urgent, and more critical.
The days have come when He will use the faithful. Those who have labored tirelessly to see that His work is being fulfilled. Many no-name hearts have been diligently working His fields wholeheartedly. They are not double-minded or swayed by things of the world. They are otherworldly.
God has been separating those who will only be used on “the easy route” versus those willing to be used as He calls. Anytime, anywhere.
Some will be sad. They misused and wasted their days instead of stewarding well what God entrusted to them. They have not been proven trustworthy with the things of God. The world has taken priority in their lives.
There is always time to repent and give your life wholly over to Christ Jesus. Either He is your LORD or not.
No more easy routes people of God. Christ did not choose the easy route.
As Christ-followers, neither can we.
It’s an “ALL IN” walk with Christ.
Jos 14:9 – So that day Moses solemnly promised me, ‘The land of Canaan on which you were just walking will be your grant of land and that of your descendants forever, because you wholeheartedly followed the LORD my God.’
