There is a moment where I sit with the Lord and must ask if I’ve drifted at all from His heart.
Although my feet keep stepping and I continue to serve, there is a danger of drifting.
We can become so robotic in our Kingdom assignments that the passion and love for Christ begins to weaken.
We ought to be sore afraid of such a place.
For ministry is merely an overflow of our relationship with Christ and if our relationship is found wanting so shall our ministry be.
Whether it’s a season of hardship where we are learning the deep treasure buried in the fellowship of His sufferings or it is a season of great joy and delight whereby thanksgiving freely flows from our lips….all is rooted in intimacy.
Have you drifted out to sea friends?
Slowly, but surely, head knowledge of The Christ has taken over heart knowledge and you’ve found yourself far from Him?
If so, then head back to the closet of prayer that draws the eye of the Savior and causes Him quickly to incline His ear to hear.
Let Him bring you back into His heart where fullness of joy rests deeply.
Every tear He shall see and every pain He shall tend. Every laugh He shall grin at and every dream fulfilled He shall cheer on.
Run back quickly…Don’t tarry…
His heart is open wide to capture once again every drifting soul…
