I woke to see an almond tree
with blossoms sweetly pink
So beautiful indeed it was
It made me stop and think.
For Christ has cause for such a thing
To send a message with
And when we look to see this prize
He speaks with Heaven’s wind.
“What do you see?” The Lord does say
And Jeremiah does reply
For I see the branch of an almond tree
And the Lord commends his sight.
For such a tree “awakens” first
When others still in winter sleep
It speaks of hastening and watchful waits
As blossoms bud for Thee.
With careful eyes Christ does watch
The performance of His word
And when the almond blossoms friend
Be sure His command is heard.
For in the air is quickened hearts
For Heaven’s host do know
That when the almond tree does bloom
Spring will quickly show.
Recall as well the ordained lot
The blooming of Father’s charge
For Christ performed again His Word
In the form of Aarons rod.

Jeremiah 1:11-12
11 Moreover the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree.12 Then said the Lord unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it.
