Take Thee at Thy Word

What troubles thee dear child
For have you not yet heard
Thy promise is secure
Do take Thee at Thy Word

For covered up is sin
A hidden unbelief
Masked by darkened cloaks
Dare to trust in Me.

I hear the inner cry
A twisting of My Word
Yet truth is you but tease
To take Thee At Thy Word.

It sounds a bit aloof
A polished rationale
But what I see of heart
Is merely empty vows.

The reasoning must go
Grab just thy mustard seed
And take Thee at Thy Word
Lay down thy unbelief.
