Our Where the Heart Heals Support Group began reading together the book, Boundaries, this past month. The Lord had shown us clearly the need for such biblical insight. Many women struggle with boundaries that are not Godly and the issues caused by this will follow us into every relationship and season of life.
Jesus has set forth boundaries for us in His word and often false teaching has been taught contrary to His Word and heart. If there has been any abuse of any kind, boundaries are usually blurred as we are taught to remain silent, endure all things, and submit to that which was never intended. Righteousness and justice are the foundations of His throne. Truth and grace are before His face. We must rebuild that which the enemy has torn down in the hearts of many.
We are excited to grow stronger in Godliness and be able to walk in true freedom into our individual callings. We are learning what it means to walk in authority offered by the blood of Jesus. The enemy surely does not want this, especially for women. There is much more to freedom in Christ than salvation. Many still walk in bondage with a false perception of what Christ desires. This causes us to idolize people and their perceptions of us. We begin to be people-pleasers rather than God-pleasers. Much of this is caused, as well, through teachings to women that are not accurate, or simply misunderstood.
