We need to give in to a spirit of repentance.
It’s found in the one who is willing to chase down the wrongs in order to make them right. The one no longer willing to excuse personal sin of the “tiniest” log.
It’s the humbling of oneself that utters no skirt-around that which cut off another’s knees.
It’s the moment of realization that idolatry of no just in “them” but in “us.” That while Noah built the ark many continued in daily manners with no urgency for Kingdom business.
The rain is coming friends.
Our piety has covered up long enough that which sent others into wilderness seasons. Words that broke a spirit. Actions that left lame another in the body.
Repentance is not the I’m Sorry but that gut wrenching sickness as He reveals your own sin to your heart. The realization that the wounding actually bruised Him in His heart. In such a moment nothing is more important than to bridge the gap between us and Christ’s fellowship and the fellowship with others we’ve harmed.
Be careful not to play it off as some ritual. It is most certainly a heart movement and true repentance causes change. A dogmatic shift that will try ever so fiercely to never do that thing again. For we felt the actual pain ourselves of the affliction like a boomerang He let us experience the same weight of its puncture.
Where is the godly sorrow O King of your body? It must pain you deeply to watch out outbursts and that which murders your spiritual babes.
How many ministries O God now cease because of words of death spoken by the saints?
Forgive us O Lord for careless words and grievous demands that have left a spot on your bride.
Prepare us fully for your coming. Whatever it takes.
