There is a voice whispering in your ear, “Stand down.”

 

Although it’s a whisper, it is very loud. It follows you into places Christ has sent you and at times you obey it.

 

The Spirit of God grieves.

 

This is not the voice of the Lord and you must not bow to it. For if you remain silent for such a time as this, your people will perish.

 

Silence it at once with a verbal authority that is offered you by the King. Do not fear the faces for Jesus is with you.

 

Shout from the rooftops what He has spoken in the dark and never quit proclaiming His goodness and grace.

 

Place Christ as the head He is and let nothing sway your stand. Fire will come to burn up the straw as He pours words into your mouth.

 

You will not preach a dead letter but will be empowered by an enduement from on high and the two-edged sword will cut to the marrow of men’s souls.

 

Deep pains will be covered by a blood washing over sin and healing balm will pour an oil not offered by flesh. You will see greater works.

 

Resist all temptations to pretend you have no lack but boldly come to the throne and make your request.

 

You will need His power. His compassion. His mercy.

 

He will fill every need.
