Be careful who’s shoes you do use
For where they’ve walked you’ll walk too
Mire and muck will cause thee stuck
Sin that seeps and darkness tucked.
Shoes may need to stay behind
Press on new, no clinging vines
Cut thy branch off at the roots
Weigh you down will past used shoes.
Consider where thy feet have trod
Was it a place for a Holy God
If pure not found then loosen lace
Leave the shoes in that old place.
Legacy will follow close
Drag only Thy righteous robes
Pure and lovely are His feet
Which in your temple resides in thee.
