I have been pondering with the Lord the book of Acts and our current state of the world..and the church. God seems to bring me these messages from time to time for the church. Coupled with a weekend full of God’s mysteries and revelations I am convinced of much I did not know. For when the Lord decides to show up in a way you never have experienced ..it changes you forever. I have prayed for revival much over the years and we do as a church often. Obviously ones heart can be revived in a moment without grandeur, signs, or wonders. However, in the latter days as we hear of the harvest and latter rain it appears we shall see some things that might shake us up a bit..just saying:) I have said to some lately….wouldn’t the happenings of Pentecost absolutely have blown our minds? Seriously? I mean we have all read it a thousand times! But what if we were there? Have you thought about that? It really did happen. I often seek God to show me truth in areas where lines have become grayed and it seems legalism subtly masks as truth. He will reveal these things as you seek..and as you desire truth. The Holy Spirit is the best teacher..and the most accurate.
Praise God! I guess I am one who desires all God has for me. I mean I just can’t see settling for less….right? I have experienced the breath of God as He breathes a song into a vessel with no human skill or training. I have held the pen as I have watched Him write, and I have heard the sweetness of melodies that One pours out of nowhere into my mind and heart! I have never feared the work of the Holy Spirit, the supernatural of God, the things unseen. Maybe His training has been a bit unique for one who has been in many denominational arenas and, yes, traveling in ministry allows me to be introduced to the beauty of His ways maybe others have yet to experience. But I have never been afraid to ask for it ALL! It’s not something that consumes me, or becomes an idol…just a beautiful curiosity of knowing my Savior even more intimately than I already do!
I do pray we would not be quick to settle nor scared to ask for more from a God who desires to give ALL! Ponder this Word He gave me and soak it in. He put His Word all in it! Take a look at the scriptures in Acts and Joel! Then prepare yourself for a Supernatural God who chooses to act any way He pleases..:)

Revival
2013 © Shelly Wilson
At times we confine a God who shall not be bound by human law.
Afraid of modern day Pentecost and a Supernatural God.
Begging constantly for revival in a way only we desire to see
Not even realizing we are the scoffers with hidden religiosity.
Knowing much about the Word, yet holding off its complete truth
Picking and choosing what fits our own traditional roots.
One day it will be revealed much we believe not true
Taught only by a man and believed from our youth.
What if Revival comes like Pentecost did that day?
With fiery tongues and power that makes a building shake?
Would we fall upon our face as we see our own sinful pride?
Because He comes in a way not yet seen by our human eyes?
When the worshipers lead the pack and His army flanks left
Will it concern us if a woman prophesies as Joel said?
Will the message be less important depending on the hand
That plows in the vineyard, a woman or a man?
For there were many women following town to town
Proclaiming to the brethren the freedom they had found.
For there is not Jew or Gentile, woman or man?
Yes it’s in His Word…His truth shall always stand.
Shall we take what we have always heard or study His fullness too?
Seeking with all our hearts that which is misused?
For seems we are the Godly people denying His power and truth
Asking for a revival if it comes only as we choose.
Let us reason and look inside and let Him touch the hidden roots
Let Him reveal the yokes of bondage we have… and have given too.
Let us long for supernatural vision from a God with a mighty hand.
The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob shall not be bound by any man.

Lord open our eyes to your ways and stir up a desire for all you have for us to see. Help us believe all your Word says rather than only what we have heard, been taught, or naturally seen. For each precious gem reveals your character, your truth, and your power. I desire to experience it all. I pray my friends are too:)
Love Much,
Shelly
