A few weeks ago I thought I had misplaced my journal. It was the journal I used the last 18 months and it was the journal that went through the valley with me. I could not believe I had misplaced it, after all I rarely was without it. Yet as I looked for it the Lord gently whispered to my heart…”it is not misplaced, it is time for a new journal. This is a new season.” Listen, this was a shout GLORY moment. For I knew it was more than a new journal. It was the beginning of the end of the valley season.
Yet as I flipped through this old trusted friend today I ran across a poem that I had begun with the Lord but guess never finished. It was as if I had never seen it before. It seemed so true that I had to see if He would finish it with me.
Pour
What doth thou have to pour
Upon His precious feet?
What valley has grown thy love
Thru the planting of bitter seed?
Take notice that your heart’s ache
Has wisdom and knowledge made
Comfort that now speaks life
To others in need of sight.
Remember the woman of the Word
Forsaken by worldly worth?
Mocked and scorned by men
Not understanding her forgiven sin.
Her eyes stayed fixed on Thee
Content to wash His feet
Her hair and tears sufficed
And captured the Savior’s eye..

Matthew 26: 6-13
Now when Jesus was in Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper,
7 There came unto him a woman having an alabaster box of very precious ointment, and poured it on his head, as he sat at meat.
8 But when his disciples saw it, they had indignation, saying, To what purpose is this waste?
9 For this ointment might have been sold for much, and given to the poor.
10 When Jesus understood it, he said unto them, Why trouble ye the woman? for she hath wrought a good work upon me.
11 For ye have the poor always with you; but me ye have not always.
12 For in that she hath poured this ointment on my body, she did it for my burial.
13 Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, there shall also this, that this woman hath done, be told for a memorial of her.
