I find that the brokenhearted somehow feel a need to hide. Maybe the world thinks one broken has a time limit for mending? Yet Christ has clearly shown my own heart the uniqueness of grief. It is quite relative in nature. The deep pain of one’s heart may bother little another..however, this does not make the pain less important, less heavy, or less in need of love. For Christ is long suffering. Shouldn’t His people be as well? He sees the heart ache…the cry of anguish…the hidden pain masked by laughter. Many with loud joy have a deep inner cry. Joy many times is a facade.. a pretending of sorts. “That all is well..” Yet our loving Father knows when it is not well…and in these times are His most beautiful nudgings for us tenderly to come to Him and rest.
O Little Lamb
My little lamb
Broken and scarred
Come to me and rest.
My little lamb
Swollen and marred
Come to me and rest.
I can see your troubled deep
Although you hide it now
I can see the heart which speaks
Of woundedness so loud.
Be very brave o little lamb
For fully healed you’re not
So come to me and rest
Into my tender arms.
Bind I will
restore you still
So come to me and rest
Soon we’ll see thy purpose more
And why thou had this test.
