O’ Little Ballerina

O’ Little Ballerina

O’ Little Ballerina

O’ Little Ballerina

O’ little ballerina

Why have you lost your dance?

For deep in you a sadness lives

You think you’ve lost your chance.

You twirled and twirled

Upon those toes

Your Father was so pleased

But it’s been long since I have seen

My ballerina indeed.

I remember well your worshipping heart

Those grand and lovely leaps

And like a little bitty child

You laughed with joy and glee.

But, little one, your smile has gone

And dance you have no more

But I created you to be

A dancer for your Lord.

Remember when you practiced well

How sore your feet became?

I watched you soak them in a bath

You thought it worth the pain.

I’ve come to tell you it’s time to arise

The enemy has caused this pause

Stealing your very destiny

A thief without a cause.

But I made you to dance for me

To leap before my throne

To worship me with all your heart

All Heaven watched you strong.

I’ve come to awaken you again

To call you by My Grace

You’re still my little ballerina

It’s time you take your place.
