There’s many a hindrance
That Christ sees clear
It’s going unnoticed
But brings Him great tears.
The heart of His people
Are far far away
From all His desires
To love well today.
He showed us His heart cry
In healing the lame
His loving of people
When they’ve gone astray.
He met those in crises
Forbidden to meet
But Christ and His mission
Was tending the sheep.
He touched many lepers
Healed many sick
Forgave many sinners
Even washed their dear feet.
He saw to the heart need
Restored the disgraced
He sat on a well
In a forbidden place.
He healed on the Sabbath
Received a woman’s oil
Cast out many demons
Restoring man whole.
He called the unlikely
Rejected the proud
Restored voice to daughters
When never allowed.
He wept for the city
To which He loved so
Raised from the dead
Many a souls.
He went to the temple
Expressed discontent
Turned over tables
Of pharisaical men.
He called out the fishermen
To let down their nets
Filled with abundance
5000 with bread.
He cared for the prophets
The widows were fed
And what He did then
He calls for again.
