We need not create a kind of “more” for the work of God. Sometimes we add things that seem to only take away from the anointing. Our human efforts work us right into flesh desires, and what we want seems to over-run what God actually wants.
At times, I can sit back and see we’ve pushed the Holy Ghost aside.
Something in us just wanted our own way. The heart seems to want what it wants. The pride of man steps in and declares, “This is mine.” And so goes the Holy Spirit who refuses to bow to man’s pride. It is the meek that shall inherit the earth.
Often we wait not long enough to let God work a thing out in His way. We scurry to add “this” and “that,” or “them “ and soon we find that He was in the “less” not the “more.”
We’ll likely have a decision to make at some point. His Less or our more? Anointing or flesh. Woe to us if we choose unwisely. It will be felt deeply at the departure of the only ONE who transforms mankind.
What have we humanly devised that Christ has not been found in? Is the terrain not His? Is He not the Master? Are we blind to where He is at work? Perhaps we just let things slide and think not it significant to reposition ourselves to remain in His presence.
I’ve seen many a God thing take a turn simply because we handed the devil the keys. He will always bring a spirit of confusion to us where “more” is nothing more than death, when all Jesus needed was the anointed “less.”
