It was a beautiful day this past weekend and I started early with a garden this year. I am not a very good gardener but I have found the Lord seems to teach me lessons through the process of planting and sowing.
I grabbed my son and we ran to Lowe’s to get some more vegetables ..the Easter cool front did in some of my crop.:/!!! He was not thrilled but He jumped in the car regardless:) As we finished looking for plants and bird houses…because I love how the Lord speaks to me through His creation…we walked over by the fruit trees. Knowing my man would not be real excited about having to mow around anything and too big wasnt going home TODAY without a truck…I set my eyes on this beautifully green little fruit tree that could stay fairly small like a shrub. I grabbed the tag and read..”Lemon Drop Tree.”
Hmmmm. It was the only one left there in that spot and Brady said “Mom whatcha gonna do with lemons?” Then he answered his own question..”You can put them in your water.” I said “great idea!” I just had to have this tree for some reason.
We got home and it took me hours to dig a hole big enough and it was getting hot! Yet when I finished the last bit of covering of soil the Lord brought to my mind a song I sing often…”Somewhere Over the Rainbow. It’s yet another secular song He had me take back and use it to point to Christ and the hope of heaven! I gasped! Light bulb moment! LEMON DROPS! Oh gosh He is speaking! I love it! I love Him! I love His way with me! He makes me smile! Okay….
This was more than a tree..it was His reminder to me and now to you… (Nothing is accidental or coincidence friends…nothing!)
One day I’ll wish upon a star
Wake up where the clouds are far behind me.
Where troubles melt like LEMON DROPS..
Way above the chimney tops.
It’s where You will find me……….
Well:) I thought I was finished with this little blog post until His sweetness poured some more! I am so thankful for a God who pours lavish love in a moments notice:)
Oh Lemon drop Lemon drop
Thou shall soon melt!
For patience is worn
And troubles do swell.
But over the horizon
Thy promise is seen
With colors resilent
Thy rainbow does glean!
So Lemon drop Lemon drop
Soon you’ll be gone!
My Father awaits with hugs and strong arms
So enjoy your brief stay for it shall soon end
For I do remember Thy Promise from Him!

Revelations 21:4
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
HALLELUYAH!!
