I began my walk with Christ with one mission-to sing for Jesus. I had no idea He had more in mind for me. I’ve had to learn to let Him fill my tool-belt with all the tools He chooses. Some I might have chosen for myself, others not so much. But more importantly, I’ve learned to let Him pull out the exact tool needed in any given moment. He chooses the gift and when it is to be used.
This means sometimes I will not be the singer but, perhaps, a shepherd. At other times, the prophet in me might be called for in which I am to deliver the message on His heart and mind.
I have to be good with being whoever He needs at any given moment. After all, He is the Master and I’m just a vessel.
Sometimes I’m a shepherd
Sometimes I’m a preacher
Sometimes I’m a writer
And sometimes I’m a singer.
Sometimes I’m a prophet
And sometimes I’m a Seer
Sometimes I’m a Watchman
Sometimes a Worship Leader.
Sometimes I’m a warrior
Sometimes my brother’s keeper
Sometimes a devil binder
Sometimes I’m a teacher.
Sometimes I’m a psalmist
Sometimes a snake killer
But at all times just a vessel
Of Christ, the life-giver.
