It is a dangerous thing to sit under teaching whereby the teacher no longer allows for open dialogue regarding the scriptures. One led by the Spirit will allow the Spirit to gently lead you into revelation of His heart and will patiently await the moment with no condemnation, aggravation, or anger.
It is also a dangerous environment in which ones interpretation is swallowed fully without studying it out for yourself and waiting on the Holy Spirit to bear witness.
There is no teacher above the ultimate need of the Holy Spirit.
For He will unfold hidden lies, pull forward hidden truths, and deeply bear witness to His heart.
Generations of false teachings will be, in one moment, exposed to the heart seeking pure truth-despite the traditions and teachings of mankind.
Never rely wholeheartedly on a teacher, pastor, evangelist, father, mother, husband, wife, or mentor to teach you what Christ Himself longs to teach you. No one needs to usurp His authority-ever.
If you do, you may find a life led into error…
Learn to sit and listen, watch and read, trust and obey…
Remove all external influences and voices marked by bias slants and even years of known orthodoxy.
They can be helpful but not without error.
Be careful of any teachers teaching “isms.” It will always be about that “ism” more so than about Christ Jesus. So many “isms” are terms I’ve yet to locate in the scriptures.
But…If The Holy Spirit is your teacher… then you will be taught to follow Jesus…
He is the trusted Teacher.
