Do You See?

Do You See?

Do You See?

My rooms are full of women who’ve spent their lives in churches but were never seen.

I was talking to a friend last night and we were discussing “all” we’ve made this thing we call “Christianity.”

A staged movement that talks a lot but very seldom is really in the ring.

People are desperately in pain but never seen.

When your service was over did you really see them?

Did you notice the woman weeping in your congregation? Did you just keep preaching?

In that moment was a move of God and you missed it. He is near the broken-hearted yet we continue to pass many by.

We’ve made this all about performance. We’re frustrated with people not changing… yet we are the problem.

We’re full of ourselves. Pride has positioned us and until we can come down from the ivory tower and be medics in a very real hospital…we’re fooling ourselves.

Jesus came to set captives free, bind the broken hearted…

Did you loose any chains today with Jesus? Did you weep with those who weep today?

Or did we just sing and preach.

We were the focus once again rather than the sheep.

We’re filling a need to be seen in our own selves instead of meeting the need of those Christ has entrusted to us.

Someone is contemplating suicide.

Did you see them?

Someone is being abused at home.

Did you see them?

Someone is desperate for a now Word from Jesus…

Did you see them?

Or did we carry on as usual?

We walked out the same way we walked in.

At what point will we understand that our job is to see them?
