Desperation can destroy quickly a plan of God.
The royal priest that is unable to wait upon the Lord will position people wrongly. Desperation doesn’t want an empty spot but I promise you that the empty spot is much safer than a filled spot with the wrong person.
Anointing is everything.
Breaking yokes is what we need and only Jesus does that. He has hand-picked the vessel for the job. You need to know His choice in every matter. It can’t be driven by any desperate need only by what God has said.
Desperation causes unhealthy behaviors. The root can be a lack of trust and if desperation is leading you then the devil has the reins.
The peace that passes understanding knows open and closed doors are Gods job and prayerful positioning waits for His nod. He has planned all of your days.
Desperation depletes people. Wears us out. Keeps us in confusion and it can be unhealthy and toxic. You’ll grab hold of everything and everybody trying to fill some desperate need that God is perhaps trying to break in you.
Sometimes desperation keeps you from being delivered. You’re desperate for the wrong things and Hell-bent to have your own way. This, friend, will be a never-ending dead-end road.
Desperation of the wrong kind bows to any god instead of the One true God.
If you’re too desperate you’ll bow to man, submit to sin, compromise for positions, and throw yourself upon an altar of idolatry.
Desperation.
If you’re gonna be desperate then be desperate for Jesus. Desperate for His heart. Desperate to be obedient. Desperate for truth even when it hurts.
Desperate enough to change what you can when God puts His finger on it.
Desperate to die to the excuses and all victim mentalities.
Sometimes it’s not God, it’s not the devil…it’s just me.
God will always feed hungry and desperate people.
But listen, when it comes to the wrong kind of desperation…so does the devil.
Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight.
