Sometimes we make decisions without thinking through all the consequences.
We give our loyalty to those yet undeserving but the hint of possible glittering of gold becomes too shiny and we take the bait.
We find ourselves soon shunning those who were true to us and had a path of consistency in our lives for that which we think might be better or even “God.”
One day we wake up and realize what we lost. Often our pride won’t let us do what it takes to mend the fences and restore what once was.
The grief of our mistake can be overwhelming yet the Bible is true when it says to confess your sins one to another that you might be healed.
The heartache of a wrong choice is left with shattered pieces and lonely lists of those who captured us with a deception or usury and then left us high and dry.
We no longer have “them” or the ones we left them for.
Consequences can be tough.
I can assure you nothing gets resolved by sweeping it under the rug or pretending it never happened.
Confession has always been a part of the cleansing process with Christ. Healing waters may very well come through tear-filled hugs and much needed apologies.
Where Jesus reigns ought to be a quick running to right wrongs no matter how long it has been.
As soon as you realize the devil was your deceiver in a matter, do what you must to try to fix it or it might well be forever gone.
Relationships are gifts from God and it certainly breaks His heart just like it breaks yours.
Jesus has the full ability to restore anything. Put your trust in Him and carry humility where you must to heal what perhaps still hurts.
