I have pondered for weeks a passage of scripture. My Sunday school class received the outpouring of all God had placed in my heart…chase the lion. I have written on this a bit and still it is deeply stirring in my heart. For far too long we have run from the darkness..when Christ calls us to arise and chase it. With all power, authority, and dominion we shall have every place our foot steps.
Chase the Lion
Dear warrior if you please
To be a valiant knight
You’ll likely be prepared
Through dark souls of the night.
For Father is placing within
A Spirit of endurance and rest
One also of courage
Now comes your daunting test.
There comes now lurking a lion
One of strength and kingly mane
His roar is loud and fierce
With huge paws the ground will shake.
You shall commence to fight
As the lion enters the pit
There shall be no escape
You’ll look in the eyes of his.
Your footing will be hard to grip
For snow has fallen beneath
The worst possible conditions
Sets apart each warrior indeed.
But power is given on high
To win the victory
Now it is sure the time
To chase the lion’s defeat.

And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was a valiant man of Kabzeel, a doer of great deeds. He struck down two heroes of Moab. He also went down and struck down a lion in a pit on a day when snow had fallen.
