A group of sheep and O Little Lambs stand in a green grassy field with trees and bushes in the background on a cloudy day. Some sheep are grazing while others look toward the camera.

Poetry and Ponderings by Shelly

O Little Lamb

I find that the brokenhearted somehow feel a need to hide. Maybe the world thinks one broken has a time limit for mending? Yet Christ has clearly shown my own heart the uniqueness of grief. It is quite relative in…

A lone coyote walks through dry, grassy terrain with scattered shrubs; it is partly shaded and blends into the landscape, evoking the quiet mystery of Awake O’ Sleeper. Photo by Bj Rucker.

Awake O’ Sleeper

Much we are taught may not be truth…it is time to allow the Holy Spirit to be the teacher He was sent to be…much of today’s teachings are man made and birthed out of tradition…never what Christ intended for us…only…

A bright orange sun sets over a dark, silhouetted landscape with rolling hills and a warm, glowing sky, casting a noble glow across the horizon. Photo credit: BJ Rucker.

Poetry and Ponderings by Shelly

A Noble Treasure..

There are times when you will feel like giving up..folding your tent..and heading home. Fight this urge on your knees..for in this place His power rushes in to tend your need. The darkness you encounter, the inadequacies, the taunting from…

View looking up through a stone archway with icicles hanging from the top, showing a bright, overexposed sky beyond the opening—a wintry scene that could inspire the heart of a lioness. Photo credited to Shelly Wilson in the bottom right corner.

A Lioness’ Love

It does not take long to see into the eyes of loneliness. It is masked by many things….but underneath is a deep need. I find that we do not do so well as being long suffering. We tend to provide…

Dandelions in a field

Father’s Dandelions

We have this love affair with Dandelions…me and Jesus:) He uses them to remind me to be ready to go wherever and whenever He calls… Wherever Father breathes blows a million little seeds That when carried by the wind finds…

Rolling hills dotted with pine trees at sunset, beneath a vibrant sky of pink, blue, and orange clouds. The horizon glows with fading sunlight over distant mountains—nature’s reminder that sometimes God Says Go. Photo credit: BJ Rucker.

Poetry and Ponderings by Shelly

When God Says Go..

It is as much danger to stay as it is to go. For when God speaks…we must obey. That which is not Faith..is sin according to Romans. We find much more peace in waiting at times wondering what the harm..yet…

A little flower with dew drops on its yellow petals stands in sharp focus against a blurred green and light background, capturing a serene and softly lit outdoor scene.

Poetry and Ponderings by Shelly

The Little Flower

There is never a time that the Lord gives me a little blessing that I am not head over heels once again. I was admiring this sweet little yellow flower.  It was actually hard to see. Honestly, it seemed so…

A powerful waterfall cascades over a steep cliff, creating mist and spray. The sky is partly cloudy, and sunlight illuminates the scene. A rocky, grassy edge appears in the lower right corner.

Downpour

He has always loved to share things about rain with me. I fell in love with rain when I wrote It Smells Like Rain with Him some years ago for the last album. But it seems the pondering doesn’t leave. …

The Geese..

A friend of mine read me this little story this past week as we discussed the body of Christ. It may be old news to you yet somehow I am convinced we need a fresh revelation of it’s deep meaning. If…

A fast-flowing river passes between large rocks and dense green forest under a cloudy sky, with distant mountains and lush vineyards visible in the landscape.

Poetry and Ponderings by Shelly

A Look at the Vineyards..

I sat with a precious group this past weekend delivering a message the Lord sent with me on the “Vineyards in the Valley.” Honestly, until the Lord began to show me such nuggets of truth about vineyards I had no…

Shelly Wilson is a poet, psalmist, and messenger passionate about releasing a word in season to weary hearts.  Shelly is a champion for those who have lost their voice and she mentors many to become rooted in Christ in a way that raises them as modern day warriors. She is honored to birth out others with Christ-size dreams and is particularly fond of spotting the gifts in women and girls.  Her favorite thing to teach is how to hear God’s voice and cultivate awareness of His presence in every day life.  She loves to speak on how the scriptures are living and breathing by giving examples through creation testifying, Holy Spirit communion, or His language through prophetic eyes. She will often nudge others to take hold of child-like faith and wonder again.
