A sepia-toned image of a tree-lined path with bare branches. Text over the image reads, He who dwells in the Shelter of the Most High will rest in the Shadow of the Almighty. Psalm 91:1.

Dwell

The Lord had brought to my attention a word a few weeks ago. I knew He wanted me to ponder it. Yet truly I never sat intentionally to see what He had in mind..until I glanced across my bathroom to…

Why Revival Tarries..a look at the scriptures with Henry Blackaby

The past few nights I have been engulfed in a Henry Blackaby teaching of the scriptures. What a hunger he has stirred in my heart again for revival. It sent me to my knees crying out to the Lord for…

Broken

What beauty arises upon our breaking. Whether the breaking is of mind, heart, body, or will. What treasures lie under the bruising soon to come forth. When the Father weighs down from heaven His hand to mold us, we cry…

A sunset over a field with clouds above, featuring the poem "Lessen Thy Grip" by Shelly Wilson written in cursive across the sky. The poem inspires letting go and embracing new dreams as day turns to dusk.

Poetry and Ponderings by Shelly

Lessen Thy Grip

In order to move with Christ He will finish a work. The work may be something you do not desire moving away from. It may be a place of comfort and longing even. A place you always hoped and dreamed…

From Heaven’s Stage

Whatever life brings you, whatever trial plagues you. The Lord never loses sight of us..for His Word says He counsels us with His eye upon us. What a beautiful truth to remember. When the tears flow..He sees. When the joy…

Poetry and Ponderings by Shelly

Endure..

It seems writing has been non-stop lately. A spark, a thought, a sorrow..and then He speaks. Sometimes we miss His intimacy with us. For me writing is a form of intimacy with my Jesus. Sometimes I am writing in response…

Poetry and Ponderings by Shelly

From Death to Abundance…

Isn’t it so that we dread death of all kinds? Physical death is only one measure of a death of sorts. For we all experience the death of dreams, friendships as we know them, seasons of life and ministry…and even…

A gentle breeze sweeps through a grassy field filled with small white wildflowers and scattered patches of orange flowers under natural daylight, creating a peaceful, natural meadow environment.

The Gentle Breeze

In my secret place I walk…and walk. Somedays its a short walk and some days I linger with the Lord. Lately…I have lingered much. Asking many “why” questions and praying for answers that do not come. Ever been there? For…

A tall, weathered tree trunk stands among dense, dark green foliage, its twisted branches and leafy growth near the base illuminated by sunlight—a testament to nature's beauty that thrives without cost.

Poetry and Ponderings by Shelly

There is a Cost

Never has God given me a message entirely in poem form. A message that would need to be delivered soon. Very soon. I am concerned many fall away simply because they did not count the cost of following Christ. The…

A girl sits alone by a pond on a stone path near a bench, surrounded by trees. The text reads, Be still, and know that I am God. Psalm 46:10 in yellow script at the top left, inviting peace along unseen roads.

Poetry and Ponderings by Shelly

Unseen Roads

There are detours that occur that leave us dazed and bewildered at times. Things we anticipated yet never happened. Places we thought we would be yet are not. Many that we can not explain and the Lord has said to…

Shelly Wilson is a poet, psalmist, and messenger passionate about releasing a word in season to weary hearts.  Shelly is a champion for those who have lost their voice and she mentors many to become rooted in Christ in a way that raises them as modern day warriors. She is honored to birth out others with Christ-size dreams and is particularly fond of spotting the gifts in women and girls.  Her favorite thing to teach is how to hear God’s voice and cultivate awareness of His presence in every day life.  She loves to speak on how the scriptures are living and breathing by giving examples through creation testifying, Holy Spirit communion, or His language through prophetic eyes. She will often nudge others to take hold of child-like faith and wonder again.
