Stylized text reads “Hush Little Baby, don’t you cry” next to a large glowing blue teardrop on a dark background, evoking the gentle mood of a lyric video and hinting at the story behind the lullaby.

Hush Little Baby…the story, the thank you’s and the lyric video:)

As I have already shared openly, 2013 was a valley year for me personally. Many storm clouds that the Lord and I have been walking through together. Yet many I have known in the past are but a distant fog….

The JOY OF THE LORD…is my strength

I woke up this morning with these words in my heart. Much like song lyrics or poetry….they were very much swirling. I guess this morning my closet with Christ will be at this computer. I hope I can keep up…

A Message from Jim Cymbala that touched me deeply…

I do not want to add to this message except to tell you I have wept for hours over it today. It has sent me to my secret place knowing my heart is so much in line with this message….

The Cage

Over my life I have realized how many “cages” I have been in. Thankfully the Lord has required me to walk through many of them. However, I am not free from them all..yet:)  He is always showing me areas of…

“Bind Up That Which Was Broken”

I have had this message prepared for several days yet unsure when to post it. However, this evening I happened across a powerful message from Pastor Carter Conlon at Times Square Church. It seemed to mirror what I was holding…

His Sparrows

Psalm 102:1-7 Hear my prayer, O Lord, and let my cry come unto thee. Hide not thy face from me in the day when I am in trouble; incline thine ear unto me: in the day when I call answer me…

A large iron nail shaped into a cross with barbed wire rests against a textured white wall. Red text boldly declares Thy Blood, while smaller black lettering below reads From My Closet to Yours ShellyWilson.com.

Poetry and Ponderings by Shelly

Thy Blood….

I was simply pondering the blood of Christ. The power it holds …and wondering if we actually realize it’s significance. Hebrews 9:22 “Without the shedding of blood, there is no remission of sins.” Revelation 1:5 “… Unto him that loved…

Dare

There is such a stirring in my heart for more of Christ. The “more” I have yet to uncover yet find such mysteries in His Word. Should we settle..woe to us for missing the bright and shining star as we…

The Man

What a missed opportunity to love one who longs for love. Many wait for us to go love them where they are. Are we looking for the open door to do so? God places people in our lives daily for…

Shelly Wilson is a poet, psalmist, and messenger passionate about releasing a word in season to weary hearts.  Shelly is a champion for those who have lost their voice and she mentors many to become rooted in Christ in a way that raises them as modern day warriors. She is honored to birth out others with Christ-size dreams and is particularly fond of spotting the gifts in women and girls.  Her favorite thing to teach is how to hear God’s voice and cultivate awareness of His presence in every day life.  She loves to speak on how the scriptures are living and breathing by giving examples through creation testifying, Holy Spirit communion, or His language through prophetic eyes. She will often nudge others to take hold of child-like faith and wonder again.
