One of the greatest honors from the Lord is when He can trust you with a broken heart.
As another call comes through, I do not take lightly my assignments. The heart of Heaven is fully engaged with every conversation. Every heart. Every crisis. Every pain.
I fear many calls that come to me. They scare me to death. Sometimes I weep, afraid I’ll miss the mark. I might even ask the Lord if He got the right girl. I know intimately how much I need Jesus to help me, so I can help them.
The magnitude of the traumas and trials are at the forefront of my heart and mind.
This is somebody’s life.
Caution grips my tongue to be sure love flows, and Holy Spirit is clearly leading.
I can make or break somebody with how I handle them. My words have a devastating power for good or evil.
Jesus keeps me on guard for humanity because they are each dearly significant to Him.
The second I take it lightly He will need to remove me or sit me down for a long talk because lives are not to be toyed with and my level of accountability to Him is a shuddering place to be at times.
It is serious to me always because it’s serious to Him.
If you’ve lost empathy for the hurting, or it doesn’t really grip you as a severe responsibility…you are in a very dangerous place.
Not just for yourself, but for the sake of those God has given to you.
For He is very near to the brokenhearted.
